Vil du rydde vassdrag i Vestland?
Vi skal i gang med et pilotprosjekt for rydding av vassdrag i Vestland, og søker etter ryddeaktører.
Published: 13.February, 2023 Last updated: 05.December, 2025
Four rivers in Vestland county will be cleaned through the pilot project. The rivers are prioritized because the journey of marine litter in rivers on the west coast is often short before it ends up in the sea. It is the Norwegian Retailers' Environment Fund that has established the project, and Bergen and Omland Outdoor Council will administer the project with funds from the Norwegian Retailers' Environment Fund.
It is possible to submit an offer for one or more of the four announced cleaning areas. Only the prioritized rivers and waterways in this pilot can be applied for cleaning in this task.
It is important to clear the macroplastic while it is still visible, large, manageable, and easy to clean, before it enters the sea.
The project owner is free to choose who will clean the various areas, so the price per cleaning area must be independent of each other.
Gentle Cleaning
The areas announced shall be cleaned of visible marine litter. The work is limited to macroplastic over 2.5 cm, and in principle, there should be no digging into the soil, even though there may be plastic waste there as well. All cleaning should be conducted in a way that considers nature and wildlife, including nesting birds inside and outside nature reserves. The execution of the task must comply with applicable regulations such as the Nature Diversity Act and the Pollution Control Act.
The following rivers will be cleaned
- Storelva, Tveitelva (Omvikedalen)
- Dalaelva, parts of Midbygdavassdraget
- Parts of Apeltunvassdrag
- Parts of Etnevassdraget
