Current Member of Parliament Rasmus Hansson led the Norwegian Retailers' Environment Fund from its inception in 2018 until he was elected to the Parliament last autumn. The fund's board has now appointed Cecilie Lind as the CEO. Lind comes from the role of CEO at the Norwegian Waste Management and Recycling Association and has extensive experience in the recycling industry and work with the circular economy. Lind will assume the leadership role in the Norwegian Retailers' Environment Fund on August 1st.
- We are extremely pleased to have Cecilie in this role. She has extensive leadership experience and strong expertise in environment, politics, and communication. We are confident that she is the right person to lead the Norwegian Retailers' Environment Fund into a new and exciting phase, says Harald Jachwitz Andersen, Director at Virke and Chair of the Board at the Norwegian Retailers' Environment Fund.
- Has the resources needed
Cecilie Lind has been the CEO of the Norwegian Waste Management and Recycling Association for the past two years, a position she acquired after serving as the Business Policy Director at the same company. Previously, she has gained broad experience from various roles in the recycling industry, including at companies like Ragn-Sells and COWI.
- The Norwegian Retailers' Environment Fund is one of the most exciting places to be for anyone with a commitment to the environment, because you have the resources to translate environmental commitment into action, not just talk. I look forward to working towards a more circular plastics economy that addresses environmental challenges and increases value creation. With a tsunami of new EU requirements on the way, the fund has great potential to both tackle challenges and drive development in the right direction. I really look forward to this, says Cecilie Lind, upcoming CEO of the environment fund.
